The Lighter Side

Apparently people don’t change that much, because I still have that same juvenile sense of humor that I had as a young teenager.

I actually voted for president Bush, but later I became annoyed about one of his policies, so I couldn’t resist the idea of “The Oval Office.”  It was accepted for exhibition at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center, and much to my surprise, sold during the opening reception. I’ve always wondered where the customer hung it!

I entered “Proudly May it Wave!” into a gallery show in 2004 as a joke, and I was so shocked when I received the acceptance letter that I actually screamed out loud. Since then, I have entered my very best work into the shows at that gallery - and like clockwork, every year I get rejected!  I will never, ever, ever figure out the art world!
